Optikey Pro

Optikey Pro provides full computer control, including mouse control, typing, speaking and much more.

When typing, Optikey Pro provides predictive text functionality and support for multiple languages. Optikey Pro can also be extended using plugins or dynamic keyboards.

Optikey Pro can be used as an alternative to a physical keyboard, allowing you to type into any application. Optikey can automatically insert spaces between words and capitalise letters for you to increase your typing rate. You can even type whole words and phrases in a single selection by "swiping" or using "auto-complete".

If you separately install the Presage auto-completion engine alongside Optikey, you can also get next-word prediction for English, Italian or Spanish languages.

Optikey Pro can replace your mouse, allowing you to click, scroll and drag with precision anywhere on the screen.

Customisation of Optikey Pro

For technical users, Optikey Pro can be extended by building your own dynamic keyboards using XML, or by building plugins to hook up to another application. For instance, you might build a keyboard with keys that send commands to your environmental control API or launch an external program. For more information, see Plugins on the Optikey wiki.

All the Optikey apps are open-source, so they can be freely extended by other developers.
